About the District
About Walden Metropolitan District No. 1 & No. 2
Walden Metropolitan District No. 1 and Walden Metropolitan District No. 2 are Title 32 special districts located in El Paso County, Colorado, established to finance, construct, operate, and maintain public infrastructure for the Walden Preserve community.
Together, the Districts support the development and long-term maintenance of essential public improvements that serve the community, including roads, drainage facilities, water and wastewater infrastructure, parks, trails, open space, and other public amenities authorized by Colorado law.
Walden Metropolitan District No. 1 serves as the Control District, overseeing the planning, construction, acquisition, and management of public improvements. Walden Metropolitan District No. 2 serves as the Financing District, providing financial support for infrastructure and operations through authorized revenue sources.
The Districts are committed to responsible financial stewardship, transparency, and compliance with Colorado’s Special District Act. Board meetings, financial information, and other public documents are made available to keep residents informed about District activities and decisions.
